A report that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could feature a much improved camera, capable of providing users with a better optical image stabilization known as OIS, just appeared on the web. According ETNews, Samsung would work on the integration of the OIS in its next Android smartphone, the Galaxy Note 3 which contribute significantly to improve the pictures and videos taken by the main digital photo phablet device.

The optical image stabilization (OIS) is however not a new technology, because it is mainly used in various digital cameras, but also in some mobile devices in order to reduce blur caused by movement when capturing a photo or video. Apart from the OIS, it also seems that Samsung have considered putting a 3x optical zoom on the Galaxy Note 3, but had abandoned the idea because it would affect the thickness of the device.

In any case, we can only classify words in the category of rumors so far, because nothing is confirmed yet. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is actually still in the blur, and its actual characteristics are still unknown. It is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2013 in Germany, but nothing is sure yet. Samsung would therefore focus on the digital camera of the device to act as an ultimate selling point! We must not forget that rumors about the Galaxy S4 Zoom also circulating on the web, and that it should be the best (well, is that Samsung promises) camera running Android with its 16 MP sensor and its 10x optical zoom. Galaxy S4 Zoom will be announced soon, perhaps on June 20 at the Samsung Premiere 2013.
