Surely you have installed on your terminal Android antimalware to search for possible infections that come from the internet. Today we speak of a statistic conducted by AV-Test, which makes comparing the results of some tests on the most popular anti-malware for Android. AV-Test tested 41 types of antivirus for Android, categorically rejecting all those who belong to the band below the 65%, i.e. the 2/3 of all the software. For convenience of expression, they divided the search into three bands: in the first app include those that allow to have a percentage of safety of the detection of the malware equal to or greater than 65% but less than 90% and the second between 40% and 65% and the third below 40%.
The only software that have exceeded 90% of findings are Avast, Dr. Web, F-Secure, Ikarus, Kaspersky, and Zoner Lookout. In the range from 65% to 90% were placed AVG, BitDefender, ESET, Norton/Symantec, QuickHeal, Trend Micro, VIPRE/GFI and Webroot and a pair of software specialist who AegisLab and Super Security. Bullguard, Comfortable, G Data, McAfee, NetQin and Total Defense, however, were placed in the range from 65% to 40%.
All others are placed in the range from 40% down, certainly a bad placement. The last year, with the boom installing Android on the consumer end, there was an increase of exponentially phishing, banking trojans, spyware, bots, Trojan , dialer fraud, premium SMS and installers false. AV-Test has analyzed that are currently available for Android some 11,000 different strains of malware, definitely less than the 10 million-plus strains of malware for Windows, but the Android malware is on track to exceed these numbers. And you, what you use on your terminal?
