Huawei Mate 10 Lite shows up for the first time in video and is amazing

Really surprising the results achieved by the new Huawei Mate 10 Pro

The popular DxOMark wanted to test the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, staying excited by the results obtained in camera. Basically, the company has scored a total score of 97 points , which is only one point less than the Google Pixel 2. It is interesting to note that having achieved that score, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro has managed to overcome the Samsung Galaxy Notes 8 and Apple’s iPhone 8 Plus . In addition, DxO awarded Mate 10 Pro a score of 100 for the photographic portion and 91 for the video. Comparatively, Pixel 2 had scored 99 and 96 respectively.

Google Pixel 2 will have to face strong competition from Huawei's rival and its latest top of the range

In particular, for scoring and analyzing smartphone photo sensors, DxOMark engineers acquire and evaluate over 1500 test images and more than 2 hours of video in laboratory-controlled environments and in internal and external natural scenes. “The Huawei Mate 10 Pro excels for photography in which they get a phenomenal 100-point sub-score, corresponding to the currently highest sub-scoring, Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Its strengths include the excellent exposures, especially in indoor conditions, the excellent focal opening, which produces a bland but beautiful bokeh effect with few artifacts and excellent automatic performance. ”

“The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is also a very capable performer in video mode , achieving a 91-video score. Autofocus is fast and accurate, with good monitoring capabilities and generally low noise levels , ” observes DxOMark in his relationship. The Mate 10 Pro has obtained very high scores for its exposure and contrast, color and autofocus for both photos and videos, beating Pixel 2 with regard to bokeh portraits, noises, artifacts and zoom. However, DxOMark also claimed that Mate 10 Pro may sometimes exhibit instability in the display, while shooting consecutive images and artifacts, sometimes visible, concerning sky-shots.

But in the meantime, it seems that Google Pixel 2 will have to face strong competition from Huawei’s rival and its latest top of the range. Speaking of cameras, the Mate 10 Pro features a double-chamber configuration on the back, designed in collaboration with Leica. The configuration includes a combination of a 12-megapixel RGB sensor and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with f / 1.6 aperture, Leica optics and dual flash LEDs. The dual-chamber configuration features 2X zoom, no loss, phase detection and laser autofocus, as well as 4K video recording capabilities.
