Apple holds 21% of the mobile CPU market
Although the market of processors for smartphones and tablets has decreased year on year compared to 2014, Apple has managed to grab a good share globally, holding a great percentage of mobile CPU market.
According to data published by Strategy Analytics, the Cupertino company has checked in 2015 by as much as 21% of the market for smartphone processors and 31% of the CPU of the tablet market.
The most used smartphone processors are the Snapdragon Qualcomm, for a total of 42%. Apple ranked second with 21% and third place MediaTek to 19%. The 64-bit processors have represented little more than half of all global shipments, but for the first time Apple is exceeded by Qualcomm in this area.
